While on my lunch break I popped down the high street... to buy deodrant. And I think it's safe to say I got sllightly carried away!
This first thing I picked up is an MUA nail polish, when in superdrug I usually browse the MUA counter as they do great low price products, anyway it was £1 and I expected it to be an in between colour of a brown and nude. However it edges more towards the nude spectrum, with somewhat lilac undertones. It wears applies and wears better far better than I expected, thumbs up overall, and I think I will be wearing the colour a lot.
I've always had a soft spot for lip products, although I can rarely be bothered with them especially bright lipsticks. I had read about the Collection Cream Puff Lip Creams (swatched on the right) and set my heart on them. Basically they are a lipstick that comes in a cream formulation, they promise to be moisturising while offering a hell of alot of colour.
My opinion they're colourful yes, and moisturising on first application, but after about 10 minuets it feels like any other lipstick and the staying power isn't anything special. Will I buy another colour? Yes. Is it a HG product? No.
On the left hand side is a MUA lipstick. as you all know I love MUA's Lipstick in shade 4 purely because of how moisturising it is and the sheer easiness of it. I brought shade 16, hoping it would be the same kind of thing, and have been left disappointed, it looks and feels very chalky, if that's your thing then you'll probably enjoy it, but the only way I can get it to work is lightly smudged over some lip balm.
Collection's lasting concealor has been hyped up by nearly everyone, and I finally bit the bullet and brought it. I have never been one to buy things because everyone else loves them, but honestly if you haven't tried this you must! It's fab and lives up to all the hype, that's all there is to say really, my only issue is the lack of shades.
Lastly I popped into the newly opened poundland down my highstreet. I wasn't actually planning on getting anything but for a pound who can say no?
Firstly I grabbed the collection voluminous mascara, and it's okay...
I have been loving benefits bad gal mascara and looking at the brushes I thought that it'd be a dupe, Collection is on the top and Benefits bad gal is on the bottom, verdict... They are not the same, bad gal has nothing on it!
And lastly another varnish from sally Hansen which I love the consistently and drying time of but despise the colour. It is most likely that I will pop back and get another to review fro you, but I cannot stand this colourr on my nails.
