NYX Review and first impressions.

Finally here with my NYX review.
Here in the UK NYX is fairly hard to get hold of, department and drug stores both don't sell it and you're lucky if you can find it in a specilised makeup store. I purchased all the products mentioned from eBay for under the £5 mark each.
*All of NYX products are cruelty free*

The first product I brought was matt powder blush, in the colour Natural (PB07). It contains 4 grams and was £4.80
My first impression of the blush has stayed since I've been testing it. Not only does it fly everywhere at the tiniest touch of a brush but it is also extremely matt and powdery looking on the skin. Even chalky at times. It is likely that I will purchase another in a different shade but overall I wasn't too impressed and there are a large number of better alternatives on the market, for example Barry M.

I had heard so many great things about these eye shadows and I'm blow away. Firstly the colour that I received was entirely different to the colour displayed by the seller. I paid £3.75 and it's in the colour ES67A Vanilla Shimmer. I think it's important the mention that the more the colour is blended with this shadow the less the orangery tone of the shadow is noticeable. It is also quite powdery however this is much less of an issue compared to the blusher.
I found it creased rather quickly on my lids (I had primed them) Despite the fact I love the shimmery/glitter it leaves on the lid. It would be interesting to see how the matt colours fare, needless to say I will be purchasing some more of these shadows.

The lip lip liner was the first of the NYX lip products that I tried, my aim was to review a eye, lip and face product so I could get a feel for the brand. Although I ended up purchasing a second lip product. Purely because this product was so wring. It wasn't that it was a bad product but the colour was just not working. One evening I lined my lips with it, with the intention to put lipstick over that to hid the horrendous colour, but I was having none of it as it set a horrible undertone colour that off set the whole thing. From my brief 10 minuets tops encounter with it I liked it. As far as lip liners go it was good. Not too chalky, didn't tug on the skin and seemed to set a strong long wearing base; notably it wasn't moisturising what so ever.
£2.50 - LPL14 Mauve (the colour would look divine on a deeper skin tone)

For round 2 of the lip products, I chose a clear gloss... You can't go wrong!
£2.50 - Sheer Gloss Juicy Tube STG16 Clear
The word 'sheer' describes this product perfectly. It is not one of those gloss' that stays on your lips or feels sticky... you put it on, it disappears and your left with a sheen. I have enjoyed using this gloss over a matt lipstick.
If I was to be picky which I am I would point out 2 things. The first being that it smells cheap, it's like a vanillaly sweet artificial scent that quite frankly isn't pleasant.
& secondly I would mention the packaging. I love the brush applicator for ease of applying that gloss and when applying over a lip stick I just squeeze a bit out onto my finger and dab it on. The problem lies with the tube. Even with the cap on if you squeezed it product will come flowing out and cause a bit of a mess. But that's just nit picky on my behalf really.

Overall I am happy with the NYX products. They are very well priced and have fared well in my very critical testing and trialing. I am interesting in buying some of the Jumbo Stick eyeliners and the lip matt creams (you get the idea.) The packing of the products is also nice, Minus the lipgloss. And although plastic is very sturdy.
The eye shadows are definitely worth looking into.
