Rimmles stay matte powder is arguably the most talked about drugstore powder in the beauty blogging community and rightly so.
For around the £4 mark you get 14g of product in a variety of shades that does what it says to a reasonably good extent. 5 Hours of natural shine control.
I have been a user of the product for a good couple of years now. However recently it hasn't been cutting it. I have found that it has not been controlling shine so well and has a tendency to look caked on. I get around 3 hours of shine control and that just isn't enough, especially as I usually wear makeup for around 16 hours a day.
I have tried my fair share of drug store powders in my time and Rimmel topped then until I discovered 17 miracle matte powder. A recommendation from Missbudgetbeauty.
You pay around the same price for miracle matte although receive 4g less of product (10g)
Despite this I much prefer the packaging as it seems much stronger and sports a huge mirror. This is defiantly more travel/hand bag friendly.
When I purchased Miracle matte I was offered two shades and went with Natural Fair (I have rimmel stay matte in 001 translucent,) The colour is pretty translucent although is more red toned which is a downfall of the product, as I prefer a yellow undertone.
Despite this 17's Miracle Matte powder keeps me shine free for at least 7-8 before I have to blot or touch up!
I honestly cannot see myself using another powder now, however I would like to try mac's blotting powder as I've read many good reviews. What are your favorit shine control powders?

I really like Seventeen makeup for a bargain, they do great dupes! MAC blotting powder is fab, but I don't see the point in paying for it as I really don't get shiny/greasy skin!
