Lets kick things off on a cringe worthy line then, if there's one thing I've learnt this summer is that memories and experiences are a million times more valuable than what you have and how many digits you have in your bank account.
My summer started off in Portugal at my friends villa and was probably the best holiday I've ever had. The amount of fun we had was honestly unbelievable.
Aside from an insane amount of card games, late night swims and woggle races,
we also went out on a killer bike ride; this lead to hair braids, henna tattoos, and a well needed dip in the pool after!
Although the holiday was intended for relaxing and doing not much else, we often found ourselves drunk... pretty much all the time. This lead to some god awful karaoke and the rest I can't remember ;)
Although we did do our favorite bar out of black sambuca... oops we made some great friends and became pals with the bar staff pretty well who ended up our drinking buddies.
After our nights out we would usually take a stroll down to the beach before grabbing a taxi home, these always proved funny... and scary! Especially when I got chucked in the sea by a Dutch solider!
On our last day we rented out a speed boat and took a trip across the cost holding on for our dear lives before anchoring for lunch and running out of fuel! We all agreed this was the highlight of the holiday, probably because we could sing at the top of our voices without having to worry about the neighbors, not that they were any quieter than ourselves.
We also got a pedalo out, went body boarding, snorkeling, played tennis on the beach, ate far to many chips!
Flying home to a empty house lead to a week of pizza huts and lots of 'I'm drinking off the holiday hangover'
Just as my family returned home I then carted myself off to V festival in chelmsford where I managed one night of camping, needless to say I'm not a camping kinda girl.
I spent the weekend with my friend Sarah who dances with me, we had an amazing time.
Together we chill each other out, so it made for a relaxing hilarious weekend, where we managed to fit everyone we wanted to see in! Our favorite being Calvin Harris!
These being the highlights of my holidays, I've had one to many bbq's, road trips, meals out, movie nights in and ice vanilla lattes!
All helping with the blow that were my horrific A-Level results, all the work I put it really did not pay off.
Despite this things have worked out, I've got myself a new job while getting myself on a couple of agency's books which my dancing background really helped out with.
I'm planning to go travelling at the start of 2015 which I'm super excited for and being pals with the bar staff out in Portugal made that decisions sooo much easier!
Aside from this madness I haven't made any new discoveries on the beauty front although I have started doing my own and friends shellac nails which I'm loving.
So far the summer of 2013 is the summer to beat, yes there have been a couple of tears but the memories and madness I've had have outweighed these enormously! I'm now off to do my friends nails then go see a film and grab a take away.!
Your holiday looked amazing! So jealous :(
