Back with a vengance.

While on my break from blogging I have found a tonne of new products that I am completely and utterly in love with; one obviously being the Maybelline Color Show nail polishes, which I wrote about in my previous post.

If you know me, you'll know I have oily skin which is a pain in the backside, you'll also know that I'm intent to be one of those girls who will stop at nothing to prevent those little buggers called wrinkles. Hence why when I saw this product I ordered it before even glancing at any reviews.

I had never heard of Pond's before however they seem to be a well established skin care line by Unilever. The product claims to be a oil and blemish controlling 'magic' powder while containing UB and Double UV protection, to prevent skin damage.

From my own research the powder comes in 3 different colours, a yellow and pink and a blue. Personally I could only find the pink and blue for sale, although I would of chosen the yellow. I picked the blue because I try to avoid adding pink tones to my skin. The powder is white with a blue tinge, once on the face it is translucent (I apply it with my elf powder brush)

The product does have a scent although it has not yet irritated my skin or caused breakouts. Since I have been using the power I do not get shiny though out the day and do not have to blot till about 5 o'clock. I have also seen a reduction in the amount of breakouts.

The think I paid around £3 for the 50g of product, and ordered it from an ebay seller which is the only place I have found it being sold, although I'm sure amazon and other online websites stock it.

 I'm finally jumping on the bandwagon and doing my best of 2012 post. I was hesitant to do this post as there are many products that I love but still think there's better out there. However while rummaging though my stash I realised there are a good number of products that I can see myself repurchasing over and over in the future.

Dove summer glow - Helps my fake tan last for a week, doesn't stink and offers a natural even colour.

Sleek Storm Palette - Probably the most spoken about sleek product, offers a range of colours in matt and shimmer shades. Can create many different eyes from it.

MUA Lipstick Shade 4 - A sheer moisturising Nicki Minaj colours, looks fab mixed with other shades and over the top of Benefit posie tint.

Bourjois Healthy mix - A long wearing natural looking foundation. Offers a medium to full coverage and has a good shade range.

Revlon Colourstay - A full coverage heavy foundation, comes in two formulation and has a reasonably large shade range, all with fairly neutral undertones.

Jade Goody Shh... - A light wintering scent, best described as sweet and spicy.

Carino Miracle Oil - Representing hair oils in general for me, a light weight cheap alternative for Moroccan oil.

Murad Oil Control Mattfier SPF 15 - Light weight and doesn't flash back in photos. Has protected my skin from the harshest of sun, doesn't do much for oil control.

Clinique Blended Loose Powder - Bloody amazing, well worth the spend, lasts forever and is very finely milled, can look cakey but the best powder I have ever tried.

EOS Lip balm - Light weight sheer lip balm. Very moisturising, works great under & over lip stick.

NYC Smooth Skin Bronzer Sunny - Cheap and cheerful, applies like a dream and doesn't look orangery, muddy or cakey. Is completely matt.

Cargo Lip Gloss Serengeti - received this as a sample and fell in love. Haven't been able to purchase one full sized sadly. Non sticky and very smooth on the lips making your lips look plum and full.

2 True Eyebrow Pencil - I warm this up on the back of my hand then apply it with an angled eyeliner brush. It's not to ashy or too red and stays all day while remaining natural.

NYX Eyeshadow Vanilla Shimmer -  A peachy eyeshadow with a hell of a lot of shimmer/glitter running through it, when buffed in looks neutral (colour disappear) and literally looks  like fairy dust on your eyes,

Haul. Part deux.

Hey dolls, i'm back with the second half of my drugstore haul. So rather than waffling on about not much lets just get straight into it.

Needless to say I got a bit carried away when it came to foundation, purchasing 3 in one got is maybe a tad unnecessary  I'm going to keep things short and sweet.

Rimmel Wake Me Up - True Ivory - £9

100%  this lives up to the hype, undoubtedly it is a brightening foundation and brings a glow but not in the slightest shimmer to your face. I wouldn't recommend this for someone with extremely oily skin unless you are willing to cake the powder on. Staying power was average, nothing amazing, however you can afford to go a shade deeper than what you think you are as it blends fantastically.

Maybelline Fit Me - 220 - £8

Gossmakeup on you tube raved about this product and I just don't see it, it's just no. my cup of tea. I would recommend this is you have good skin and just want a tiny bit of coverage and a dewy finish. Another draw back is that it's extremely orange! 

Revlon Colour Stay - 180 Sand Beige - £12.79 - Combination to oily

I have loved this foundation for atleast 2 years now. The only downfall is it's shade range. However I can now achieve my exact colour my mixing some of the maybelline for me foundation in with it. A quick summary of this foundation is that it's full matt coverage and stays all day! 

MUA Blush - Shade 2 - £1

I am currently on my hunt for the perfect everyday blush (proving difficult)
The blush is nice but nothing is working for me at the moment. The product is nice, has a light sheen and is not chalky giving and nice colour and finish on the cheek. Nothing to dislike nothing to love.

Collections lasting perfection concealer - Fair 1 - 4?

I have reviewed and raved about this previously and this is truly a HG product, if you have no tried this you MUST! I brought it in the lightest shade to use under my eyes,

MUA Eyeshadow - Shade ? - £1

I purchased this because I needed a matt brown for my crease and it does the job perfectly. There is little fall out and the colour is not too warm or cool. For £1 I'm not complaining.

Collection 2000 Loose Powder - £4

I picked this up purely for the sake of it and I actually really like it as far as a loose setting powder goes it's good. The powder it's self is not finely milled so i suggest using it with a brush rather than a powder puff which is my preferred way. The only downfall is that it have a strong scent which I'm not a huge fan of.

That wraps things up for today, I'll hopefully have a couple more posts up soon but school and work have been pretty heavy recently, which makes spare time pretty much non existent!
